The Grit 4540 Evolution from Princeton CarbonWorks is engineered for riders who refuse to compromise between speed, durability, and control. At just 385 grams per rim, the Grit 4540 features a 24mm internal width, optimized for wider, modern tires. The hooked, hole-less rim bed improves tire support, simplifies setup, and enhances long-term reliability — whether you’re racing gravel, pushing endurance road miles, or attacking mixed terrain at full gas.
What truly sets the Grit 4540 apart is Princeton’s patented Radially Staggered Lacing (RSL) technology. By alternating rim depths between the drive and non-drive sides, spoke tensions are balanced more evenly, improving bracing angles, stiffness, and ride quality — especially under high torque and rough surfaces.
With a tested 130 joules of impact resistance — 325% greater than the UCI minimum — this wheelset is built to survive real racing, not just laboratory standards.
